Reception is open from 09:00 a.m until early afternoon  (times vary during the seasons).

Reception has a selection of DVDs and local attraction leaflets available.

Please don't use the hot tub if you have new fake tan, it stains the side and we need to get specialist cleaners in, the damage deposit of £50 will be used to cover any costs involved.

To keep your hot tub at it's best we recommend that you shower before use to prevent cloudy water.

Hot tub for four people overlooking the lake, for longer stays will will do a change of water mid-stay.

Please be aware as this is a quiet site you must vacate the hot tub by 10:00 p.m.  The site warden has the right to disconnect the hot tub for the remainder of your stay if necessary.

We provide separate hot tub towels for you.

The site has a car charging port at the top of the site near the launderette.  Charging your electric vehicle from the lodge is not allowed and may be a fire hazard.

Well behaved dogs are allowed in the lodge and on site, please keep dogs on a lead when on site.

We provide dog blankets to use on the sofas, dog towels, 2 dog bowels and one water bowl.

We also have an outdoor hot/cold shower area for your pup if they get muddy :).

The site is perfect for dogs as there is a dog walking field next to the site (on the right as you face the lake) with access to the lake and fantastic views towards Skiddaw. You can let your dogs off lead here for a good run around.

Another good walk is to the left of the site (facing the lake) with a walk through the nature reserve.

Play Area – There is a small play area suitable for young children on the park. 

Fishing: 1st March to 15th November  – There is no charge for fishing from the jetty and the foreshore of the  park. You will however need to hold a valid rod fishing licence which  is available from any Post Office. 

 Boats- We are licensed to launch a limited  number of vessels onto the Lake from 1st March to 15th November. 

You  are welcome to bring your own boat, canoe, windsurfer or paddle board but  please check with reception before you arrive as Bassenthwaite Lake is  strictly controlled. In particular no power boats are permitted. 

Please wear the appropriate life jackets and stay safe.

Paddle Boards and life jackets are available for hire at reception.

The nearest Kayak hire is at Nicol End on Derwent Water.

 If you bring your own paddle boards or kayaks there is plenty of storage space around the lodge.

Wi-fi is available throughout the  park free of charge. Please be aware however that Broadband coverage in  the Lake District may not be as fast as you enjoy at home.
